Wroclaw has always been a beer city. Up to 1945 there were 31 breweries in the city. We begin the tour on the market square, at the entrance to the Schweidnitzer Keller restaurant at the town hall. The restaurant is the oldest restaurant in Silesia. Then we walk across the market square in the direction of the university and make a brief stop at the fencing fountain. Here you can learn more about the history of student fraternities in the city. Visit the first and oldest mini-brewery in Wrocław on the Market Square. You’ll learn how the city has rediscovered its beer history and more and more mini-breweries are popping up serving quality golden pilsner.
